7. Orders and Payments
Order Placement
By placing an order, you represent that you are 18 years of age or older and have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts.
Payment
We accept various payment methods. All payments must be received before order fulfillment. Payment information is processed securely.
Order Confirmation
Order confirmations are sent via email. Please check your email for order details and tracking information.
8. Online Purchases and E-Commerce
Online Ordering
We now accept online orders through our website. All online purchases are subject to these terms and conditions and require acceptance of our Privacy Policy.
Payment Processing
Online payments are processed securely through Paystack. We do not store your payment card information on our servers.
Order Acceptance
All online orders are subject to acceptance by Lafamiliar Suites. We reserve the right to cancel any order for any reason, including but not limited to product availability, errors in pricing or product information, or suspected fraud.
Digital Communications
By placing an online order, you consent to receiving transactional emails including order confirmations, shipping notifications, and delivery updates.
9. Shipping and Delivery
Shipping Terms
Transport is excluded from the listed price of all items. Delivery is arranged separately, at an additional cost, and quoted based on your location and the items ordered. Delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed.
Risk of Loss
Risk of loss passes to you upon delivery to the carrier or specified location. You are responsible for inspecting items upon delivery.
Damaged Items
Report any damaged items within 48 hours of delivery with photographic evidence. We will work with you to resolve the issue.
10. Returns and Refunds
Return Period
Items may be returned within 30 days of delivery if they are unused and in original condition. Custom orders are non-returnable.
Return Process
Contact us at returns@lafamiliarsuites.com to initiate a return. Return shipping is the customer's responsibility unless the item is defective.
Refunds
Approved returns will be refunded within 14 business days of receipt and inspection. Refunds are issued to the original payment method.
11. Intellectual Property Rights
The website and its entire contents, features, and functionality (including but not limited to all information, software, text, displays, images, video, and audio) are owned by Lafamiliar Suites, its licensors, or other providers of such material and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
12. User Conduct
You agree not to:

- Transmit viruses or any other malicious code
- Disrupt the normal flow of dialogue within our website

16. Installation and Assembly
Installation Services
Installation services may be available for certain products upon request and at additional cost. Installation availability depends on location and product type.
Customer Responsibility
If you choose to install products yourself, you are responsible for ensuring proper installation according to provided guidelines. Lafamiliar Suites is not liable for damage resulting from improper installation.
Structural Requirements
Customers are responsible for ensuring their walls, floors, or mounting surfaces can support the weight and dimensions of purchased items. We provide weight and mounting specifications with applicable products.
17. Warranty and Care
Craftsmanship Warranty
We stand behind the quality of our craftsmanship. Items found to have manufacturing defects within 12 months of delivery will be repaired or replaced at our discretion.
Care Instructions
Proper care instructions will be provided with each item. Warranty does not cover damage from misuse, normal wear and tear, or failure to follow care instructions.
Natural Materials
Wood and other natural materials may naturally change in color or appearance over time due to environmental factors. Such changes are not considered defects and are not covered under warranty.
18. Severability
If any provision of these terms and conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, all other provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
19. Age Requirements
You must be at least 18 years of age to use this website, place orders, or enter into agreements with Lafamiliar Suites. By using our services, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.
20. Force Majeure
Lafamiliar Suites will not be liable for any failure or delay in performance under these Terms and Conditions which is due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of government, labor disputes, or material shortages.
21. Custom Work and Deposits
Design Approval
All custom work requires written approval of design specifications, measurements, and materials before production begins. Changes after approval may incur additional charges.
Deposits and Payment Schedule
Custom orders typically require a 50% deposit upon order confirmation, with the balance due upon completion. Payment schedules may vary based on project scope and will be outlined in your order agreement.
Production Timeline
Production times are estimates based on current workload and material availability. While we strive to meet all quoted timelines, delays may occur due to factors beyond our control.
22. Consumer Rights
Under South African consumer protection laws, including the Consumer Protection Act (CPA), you have certain rights that cannot be waived or limited by these terms. These include:
- The right to receive goods that are of good quality, in good working order, and free of defects
- The right to receive services that are performed with reasonable care and skill
- The right to return goods within 6 months if they fail to satisfy quality requirements
- The right to fair and responsible marketing practices
- Protection against unfair, unreasonable, or unjust contract terms
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits or excludes any rights you have under South African consumer protection legislation.
23. Data Protection and Privacy
We are committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with South African data protection laws, including the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
Your personal information will only be used for the purposes of fulfilling your orders, providing customer service, and improving our services. We do not sell or share your information with third parties except as necessary to complete your orders or as required by law.

Lafamiliar Suites reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updated terms will be posted on our website with the revision date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
